Tonight the chef got creative with the pork chops. He pan fried them, then added sliced apples and onion, and a new ingredient — sliced peaches. He bought those on his trip to get strawberries, and the peaches added some nice flavour and colour to the finished dish.
He also bought and prepared all the ingredients [...]

The chef brought home pork chops for tonight’s dinner, but we decided that it was too hot to cook. Instead we had salad and sandwiches. For dessert we had more of the fresh strawberries from yesterday’s trip to the strawberry patch. They were just as tasty today as they were yesterday. We’ll have to make [...]

Tonight we enjoyed leftovers from the past couple of nights. The chef had a steaming bowl of linguine with tomato meat sauce, and I had roast chicken. We both had a serving of tossed salad on the side. For dessert, we had strawberries, fresh from the farms just north of here. Delicious!

Tonight the chef made a lovely tomato sauce, with ground beef, onions, canned tomatoes, fresh basil, mushrooms and black olives. After it simmered for about an hour, we enjoyed it over fettucini, with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. It was delicious, and there’s enough left over for another dinner tomorrow!

The chef bought salad supplies today, and chopped and diced everything, to make a salad bar for dinner. We were able to create our own salads from all the ingredients, and they were delicious. We also had chicken sandwiches, made from last night’s leftovers.
Every plate was a bit different, but here’s what mine looked like:

Today the chef brought home a couple of chickens, which the sous chef roasted for dinner. They were only about three pounds each, so that will give us enough for a couple of lunches and leftover dinners. On the side we had microwaved potato and wax beans.
To prepare them, I removed the giblets and other [...]

Tonight the chef made burgers, with his secret recipe, and they were delicious. They were well done, but still juicy, and had great flavour, with some Worcestershire sauce adding a bit of zip.
There was also a tossed salad, with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, sliced green onions, and radish slices, to give it some crunch, and nice [...]

Finally, the weather warmed up a bit, and dinner tonight was barbecued pork ribs, eaten on the back deck.
First, he chef simmered the ribs for about an hour, on the kitchen stove.
Next, he brushed them with barbecue sauce (see recipe below), then grilled them for about 10 minutes, turning them after 5 minutes, and basting [...]

Tonight the chef made a delicious stir fry with chicken thighs, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, snow peas, mushrooms and onions. The sauce was a blend of teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and hot sauce. There was lots of chopping and slicing, and the end result was great.

Tonight the chef whipped up some fantastic omelettes. First, he pan fried some chopped onion and sliced mushrooms in oil and balsamic vinegar. Once those were cooked, he added them to the eggs, with some shredded cheese, to create the perfect omelettes.
On the side we had tossed salad and microwaved asparagus. It looked wonderful, and [...]
