Pasta Parmesan With Vegetables

The chef made a delicious pasta tonight, served with steamed asparagus, broccoli and carrots. His recipe is below, and you can adjust it for more servings, and include your favourite vegetables. A picture of our dinner is shown below the recipe.

Pasta Parmesan and Steamed Vegetables

  • 4 oz pasta (linguine, spaghetti)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups vegetables, such as
    • Broccoli
    • Asparagus
    • Cauliflower
    • Carrots
  • 1 egg


  • Prepare and wash vegetables
    • Cut broccoli and cauliflower into bit size florets
    • Trim woody stems from asparagus
    • Cut carrots into julienne strips
  • Add water in bottom of steamer, and bring to boil
  • Place vegetables in top of steamer (Note: add asparagus a couple of minutes after other vegetables)
  • Fill a large pot with water and add a little salt and olive oil
  • Bring water to a boil, and add the pasta
  • Cook the pasta according to its package directions, until it is al dente (about 8-9 minutes for spaghetti)
  • Beat the egg in a mixing bowl
  • Drain the pasta, and add to the beaten egg
  • Toss the pasta while adding Parmesan till you get the desired creamy consistency
  • Serve pasta and add the vegetables to the plate
