Weekly Meal Plan 20161008

It’s Thanksgiving weekend, here in Canada, so that makes it easy to plan the menu! We’ll have all the traditional favourites for our family dinner tomorrow – turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and of course, pumpkin pie.

As you can see from the picture below, I’ve already done the baking! Now I just have to take it out of the box, and claim that to have made it myself. Sometimes, I don’t even bother to take it out of the box.

We’ll have leftovers on Monday, then we’re running around on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we’ll get take-out food, or have dinner out on those days.

The Weekly Plan

Here is our plan for the week starting Sunday, Oct 09, 2016. There are links for some recipes, and others are made “freestyle”.

Sunday — Turkey

Monday — Turkey

Tuesday — Dinner Out

Wednesday — Dinner Out

Thursday — Beans & Wieners

Friday — Burgers

Saturday — Chicken Stew

How It Actually Went

Here’s what we actually had this week. The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious, and we enjoyed leftovers for lunch and supper on Monday. The rest went into the freezer.

We were travelling on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we had all our meals out on those days. I’m sure we made healthy choices every time!

We moved the beans and wieners to Friday, and had a simple ham steak with salad on Thursday. Our granddaughter came to visit on Saturday, so we had one of her favourites – fish and chips.
