Weekly Meal Plan 20170304

The frigid weather is back again, so we’ll bundle up when we have to go out. Then, we’ll have some hot and hearty suppers when we get back home.

There’s nothing new on the menu this week, but I looked for recipes that we haven’t made for a while. For example, the last time that we had the Pork chops with Cranberry Stuffing was in December 2015. I hope we still like it!

We’ll have a roasted chicken on Sunday, and could eat leftovers on Monday, if we don’t want to make quesadillas. But, we still have cheese, sour cream and salsa from last week’s fajitas, so we’re ready for either option.

The Weekly Plan

Here is our plan for the week starting Sunday, Mar 05, 2017. There are links for some recipes, and others are made “freestyle”.

Sunday — Chicken, roasted

Monday — Quesadillas

Tuesday Ground Beef and Potato Scallop

Wednesday Crunchy Cornmeal Chili Chicken

Thursday Pork chops with Cranberry Stuffing

Friday — Tortellini

Saturday — Burgers

How It Actually Went

Here’s what we actually had this week. Keith didn’t want Quesadillas on Tuesday, so we had a nice ham steak instead, with mashed potatoes. On Thursday, we went out to lunch with friends, so we just ordered a pizza for supper.

Then, on Friday, we had the package of baked ribs that Keith bought at Costco, earlier in the week. They were on sale, so he bought them, instead of our usual brand. Next time, we’ll go back to our old favourites. The ribs were good, but the sauce was strange – kind of sweet/tangy.

Sunday — Chicken, roasted

Monday — Ham Steak

Tuesday Ground Beef and Potato Scallop

Wednesday Crunchy Cornmeal Chili Chicken

Thursday — Pizza

Friday — Baked Pork Ribs (from Costco)

Saturday — Burgers
