Weekly Meal Plan 20170401

There’s nothing new on the menu this week, but I picked up a cookbook at the library, so maybe I’ll try something from that next week. The cookbook features Canadian recipes, and a couple of them look pretty good.

We can have lamb chops on Sunday, if Keith can find some that look good. If not, we’ll think of something else. It’s been quite a while since we had a meat loaf, so I put that on the schedule for Monday. We’ll see how it goes!

The Weekly Plan

Here is our plan for the week starting Sunday, Apr 02, 2017. There are links for some recipes, and others are made “freestyle”.

Sunday — Lamb chops

Monday Mary Beth Albrights Sweet And Spicy Meatloaf

Tuesday — Peameal bacon

Wednesday Pork Tenderloin in Lemon Sauce

Thursday Swiss Steak

Friday — Beans & Wieners

Saturday — Quesadillas

How It Actually Went

Here’s what we actually had this week – we only stuck to the plan for the first two days!

Keith made the meat loaf on Monday, and put a couple of loaves in the freezer, to have later. It was delicious, as usual, but I think that tired him out, because we had cheese and crackers on Tuesday!

He was back in the kitchen on Wednesday, with a craving for beef stew. I made baking powder biscuits, to go along with the stew. There was enough for leftovers on Thursday, and lunch on Friday.

Then, to have a relaxing end to the work week, we ordered chicken from Swiss Chalet on Friday. I get the salad on the side, and he gets fries, and that’s plenty to share.
