Weekly Meal Plan 20170415

We’re having Easter brunch here tomorrow, with baked ham on the menu, so we’ll have leftovers for supper – if we’re hungry by then!

For the rest of the week, I picked old favourites, and things that are easy to make – just in case I have to do some of the cooking!

The Weekly Plan

Here is our plan for the week starting Sunday, Apr 16, 2017. There are links for some recipes, and others are made “freestyle”.

Sunday — Ham, Baked

Monday Upside Down Shepherd’s Pie

Tuesday Peppery Maple Chicken

Wednesday Pasta Carbonara With Mushrooms

Thursday Pork Medallions with Grainy Mustard Sauce

Friday — Beans & Wieners

Saturday — Beef Tenderloin

How It Actually Went

Here’s what we actually had this week. We had a lovely Easter brunch on Sunday, with lots of leftovers. We asked our guests to take some home, so the food wouldn’t go to waste.

On Monday, I made the shepherd’s pie, and had enough for leftovers on Tuesday. So, the next two suppers were bumped back a day. I cooked the Peppery Maple Chicken on Wednesday, and we enjoyed it. It took about 45 minutes to prepare, but nothing too complicated.

Then Keith was back in the kitchen, and he made the pasta on Thursday, and grilled steaks on Friday. Today we both need a break, so  we’re having beans and wieners.
