Happy Canada Day! I hope you have some great Canadian food today, to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

I’m still tired out from planning last week’s all-Canadian menu, so we have a simpler plan for this week.

The Weekly Plan

Here is our plan for the week starting Sunday, Jul 02, 2017. There are links for some recipes, and others are made “freestyle”.

We haven’t had the Panko Pork for about a year, but most of the other recipes are old favourites, and we’ve had them recently. The Ginger Beef Stir Fry is the only newish one, and I really like the flavours in that recipe.

Sunday — Chicken, roasted

Wednesday Pasta Carbonara With Mushrooms

Thursday — Peameal Bacon

Friday — Quesadillas

Saturday — Burgers

How It Actually Went

Here’s what we actually had this week. We stuck to the menu from Sunday to Wednesday, and enjoyed all the meals. It’s been a long time since we had Arugula Apple Salad, and I loved the sour cream dressing on that. The Panko Pork was good too!

Our granddaughter came to visit on Thursday, so we changed the meals for those nights, to some of her favourites.
