Weekly Meal Plan 20170708

We had a busy schedule last week, so we’ll take things easy this week. There are a few Asiago meatballs in the freezer, so we can have those with a simple spaghetti sauce tomorrow night.

Then, for the rest of the week, we’ll have simple suppers, and old favourite recipes. I haven’t even checked the weather forecast, to see if it will be blazing hot, or delightful and breezy, like it is here today. I’d like this weather all summer long!

The Weekly Plan

Here is our plan for the week starting Sunday, Jul 09, 2017. There are links for some recipes, and others are made “freestyle”.

Sunday Spaghetti With Asiago Meatballs

Monday Chicken Thighs in Hot Sauce

Tuesday — Peameal Bacon

Wednesday — Turkey Schnitzel

Thursday Ground Beef and Potato Scallop

Friday — Beans & Wieners

Saturday — Ribeye steak

How It Actually Went

Here’s what we actually had this week – we stuck to the plan for most of the days. On Tuesday though, Keith decided to make Shepherd’s Pie, instead of Peameal Bacon. He got it read in the morning, and we just had to heat it at suppertime, and get the potatoes browned.

That was too similar to the Ground Beef and Scalloped Potatoes that we had planned for Thursday, so we did a Corned Beef in the slow cooker for that night instead. Then, we had the leftover corned beef with beans on Friday, instead of cooking wieners.
